Langaha nasuta

This is effectively one of the most bizarre reptiles on the planet. Much the same as the Asian vine wind, the Langaha snake (otherwise called the leaf-nosed snake) is adjusted to an arboreal way of life and bolsters generally on reptiles. Its most intriguing attribute is, obviously, the odd "horn" or projection on its nose. Both sexual orientations have this odd trimming, however guys and females look altogether different from each other; guys are yellowish and have smooth skin and a sharp, pointed "horn", while females have unpleasant looking chestnut scales and a level, leaf-formed and serrated horn. This is one of only a handful few cases in which a snake's sex can be resolved effectively at first sight. Langaha nasuta snakes are discovered just in Madagascar's imperiled downpour woods.
