Atheris hispida

Found in the downpour woods of Central Africa, this little yet exceedingly venomous snake is noted for its gigantic eyes and keeled, abound like scales which give it a practically feathered appearance (consequently one of its basic names, "feathered tree snake"). Atheris snakes grow up to 75 cms in length, with guys being longer than females (unordinary among snakes). Like all snakes, Atheris has long, retractable teeth in the front of its upper jaw; there is no known antitoxin to its venom, which causes blood coagulating challenges, agony and swelling, and regularly, passing. Luckily, these snakes generally live far from human settlements, and thusly Atheris chomps are exceedingly uncommon.
